Recently, ZZ Stones successfully supplied and exported containers of black polished pebbles and decorative stone from China to the Middle East.

From preparing the stone and packaging to quality control, documentation and shipping, we managed the export process from start to finish.

For us, supplying stone is not simply about providing the product but rather ensuring we deliver the requested stone specifications, good quality, packaging, container loading and export requirements before the shipment leaves China.

Preparing the Stone for Export

For this order, the customer required decorative stone and polished pebbles in different sizes, prepared specifically for their local wholesale landscape supply market.

Once confirmed, we started production of the decorative stone, packing requirements and export arrangements.

With heavy natural stone products, subtle details matter. Packed weight, stone size, packaging strength and container arrangements all need to work together.

Planned together

  • Packed weight
  • Stone size
  • Packaging strength
  • Container arrangements

Natural stone is extremely dense, so both weight and volume have to be considered carefully during container planning. Strong packaging is also essential because the cargo must remain secure throughout handling, loading, port operations and ocean transportation.

Export Packaging & IPPC Compliance

The stone was packed into strong export packaging suitable for international transportation.

Where wooden export packaging was used, we ensured the relevant IPPC requirements were followed and the required markings were checked before shipment. Protective wrapping was also applied to help keep the packed stone secure during transportation.

Quality Control Before Loading

Before shipment, we carried out checks on the finished order, including packed weights, quantities, stone sizes, export packaging and IPPC markings.

Checked before loading

  • Packed weights
  • Quantities
  • Stone sizes
  • Export packaging
  • IPPC markings

Packages were weighed individually, and adjustments were made where required to keep the shipment in line with the intended packing specifications.

These checks give us greater control over the quantity, packaging and overall condition of the stone before loading.

Container Loading & International Shipping

Natural stone is a dense and heavy product, so container planning is an important part of every export order.

For this Middle East shipment, we coordinated the cargo through container loading, export handling, documentation and ocean freight arrangements.

We also regularly updated our customer on the live status of the shipment.

Managing the Export Documentation
