Limestone Paving Supplied from China
Limestone paving is supplied from China to project specification through direct factory supply and export coordination. It is chosen for landscape and architectural work where a softer, more even appearance is wanted than granite gives.
Limestone is a natural sedimentary stone, so colour, veining and shell content vary between blocks and batches. The agreed variation range therefore matters as much as the dimensions, and should be settled before production.
What can be supplied
- Paving slabs in project dimensions
- Setts, edging and cut-to-size pieces
- Honed, brushed and textured surface finishes
- Sawn or hand-dressed edge treatments
- Colour ranges subject to current production
Note — Not every limestone suits every climate or application. Freeze-thaw exposure, de-icing salts, heavy traffic and pool surrounds all place different demands on the stone, so confirm suitability and any required testing with your architect, engineer or importer before ordering.
Specifications to confirm
- Product or stone type
- Colour or colour range
- Dimensions and thickness
- Surface finish and edge treatment
- Quantity required
- Packing requirements
- Destination port
- FOB or CIF basis
- Any testing or project standard that applies
Send these details and we can quote accurately the first time, without a chain of clarifying emails.
Quality control and sample approval
Before production, the specification is confirmed in writing. During and after production, pieces from the lot are checked against that specification for dimensions, thickness, finish and visible variation, and the packing is inspected before the container is sealed. Where a project requires laboratory testing, the method and acceptance criteria are agreed in advance rather than assumed.
Export packing and container coordination
Packing is planned around piece dimensions, gross weight and container capacity, using crates or pallets with edge and face protection as the product requires. We confirm crate or pallet counts, weights and loading with the quotation, and can quote FOB China or CIF to your destination port.
Frequently asked questions
How much colour variation should I expect?
Limestone varies naturally, and photographs flatten that variation. Ask for a representative range rather than a single reference, and agree in writing how much variation is acceptable before production begins.
Is limestone suitable for driveways?
That depends on the specific stone, its thickness, the sub-base and the loading involved. It is a project decision rather than a general one: ask the responsible engineer to confirm the requirement, and we will quote to that specification.
What should be included in a limestone enquiry?
Send the dimensions and thickness, the finish, the quantity, your destination port and any standard the project must meet. A drawing or size schedule produces a far more accurate quotation than a photograph.
